The collage is the ending. The year is the story.
A first-year grid is easiest to make when the monthly photos were easy to find. Our Pear Tree keeps every photo with its real date and the age it happened at, so the month-by-month set is already gathered when you want to print one.
If you want each photo to carry its own age label before it goes in the grid, the milestone photo maker writes the age for you. And if an older photo has drifted to the wrong day, the photo date checker tells you whether it still remembers when it was taken. Both run in your browser too.

About the monthly collage maker
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The collage is assembled by your own browser. Your photos, their filenames, and the title you type are never uploaded, saved, or tracked, and the finished JPEG is created on your device.
Will it print well?
Yes. The 8 × 10 setting creates a 2400 × 3000 pixel JPEG, which is 8 × 10 inches at 300 PPI, and the square setting creates 2160 × 2160 pixels, large enough for a 7 × 7 inch print. Use photos straight from the camera roll rather than screenshots and the squares stay crisp.
Can I use fewer than twelve photos?
Yes. Any square you leave empty stays a soft blank tile with its month underneath, so a half-finished collage still looks intentional. You can download it now and come back to fill the rest, though the tool does not remember your photos between visits.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Tap a square to choose a photo from your camera roll, or use the add-photos button to fill the empty squares in order. The preview and the download work the same way on a phone as on a laptop.
What about HEIC photos from an iPhone?
Most current browsers open HEIC files without any conversion. If one will not open, the tool says so and nothing is lost: save or share a JPG copy of that photo and add it again.
